Timeline
What is the Timeline?
The timeline screen lets you visually check when and where a user was. You can easily grasp how people moved and where they stayed most often.
Display Types
Timeline data can be viewed in two ways.
1. Trajectory (Movement Path)
Shows how users moved using points and lines.
Playback Mode
You can play back people's movements along the timeline, just like watching a video. It's easy to see the order in which they moved.
Time Range Mode
Displays the movement paths for a selected time range all at once. You can instantly see where people were moving during that period.
- If the display is crowded, try selecting only specific individuals or groups to make it easier to see.
- Hover over a point to see details about who was there and when.
2. Heatmap (Stay Time Visualization)
Shows how long people stayed in each area using color intensity. The redder the area, the longer people stayed there.
Playback Mode
You can see how the places where people gather change over time.
Time Range Mode
Displays the total stay time for a selected time range using colors. You can see where people gathered most during that period.
Display Settings (Adjust for Better Visibility)
1. Adjusting Display Interval
You can change the time interval for displaying data.
-
For trajectory:
Increasing the interval reduces the number of points shown, making the screen less cluttered.
- Example: If set to 30-minute intervals:
- The 9:00 point shows the first location between 9:00 and 9:30.
- The 9:30 point shows the first location between 9:30 and 10:00.
- Example: If set to 30-minute intervals:
-
For heatmap:
Stay time is aggregated for each interval.
- Example: If set to 30-minute intervals:
- The 9:00 color shows the total stay time between 9:00 and 9:30.
- The 9:30 color shows the total stay time between 9:30 and 10:00.
- Example: If set to 30-minute intervals:
2. Adjusting Cell Size
You can change the size of each cell in the heatmap.
3. Maximum Value
You can set the reference time for the heatmap's color intensity (red). Adjust this if you want to highlight places where people stayed longer.
Shareable Links
You can easily share links that include your search conditions and display settings.
Team members can check data with the same settings, or you can save the link for yourself to access the same settings next time.
